    Most people that I know from vermont in medic programs head down to NH. Theres a shift going on in Vermont to paramedics. Its well known that they were a rather rare breed, most providers being Intermediates. If you have any specific questions I'd be happy to address them.

    In general your veteran status will be an advantage to you no matter your MOS. There honestly isn't a huge jump in knowledge medically. You'll get your EMT already so you're able to exit your service and transition directly into the civilian sector. You'll be able to operate at a higher scope...

    Took me a full week aster passing my aemt cognitive. It may take longer for you since the practical results have to be sent and reviewed by the registry. Always quicker if the written is the last thing you complete.

    Any I.V. tricks?

    Study the anatomy of the arm veins. Having an idea where they lead will help you in visualization. I generally go by feel more than seeing the vein. If its a tricky stick, I sometimes feel out the vein, then use the capped catheter to place two marks on the vein so I have something to aim at.
