I'm not really sure the companies that are near you, but for sure MA is super saturated with basics. There's a thread about MA companies here on the forum. Apply everywhere near you.

It's the same scare tactics that people instill into people entering college soon....how they can look at your profile. As long as your profile is set to private they can't view it. Theres no backdoor access.

Apply anywhere and a everywhere hiring or not. Volunteer experience always helps out a bit but some companies may not count it as actually EMS experience.
