    I believe most of their trucks are medic/basic and due to the protocols they have, the medic's have to run every call, cause from what i've heard, every pt gets put on the monitor.

    Collin County doesn't hire people. In order to get out here you have to start working in Dallas doing transfers and then try and transfer out if a spot opens up. Although we are about to have 3 double medic trucks, it'll be a while before a medic spot opens up out here. AMR dallas runs 8s, 10s...

    We carry soft restraints and can use them anytime we feel necessary without contacting Med Control. I've never had to use them. Anytime we've had a violent patient, PD was already onscene and had the Pt handcuffed.

    We had to do the same thing but it was for paramedic. Just try and stay calm and read each question through and all the answer choices before making your selection.

    I started off bad with my IV's druing clinicals too. Ask the nurses for advice and go and watch them start some and watch their technique. Try not to get frustrated!!!
