One of the departments shown is Flower Mound here in the Dallas area, though it looks like they are in a classroom setting (they all have their EMT-B patches) so maybe it shows them going to school as well?

Fire trucks on medical calls? All that crap hanging off thier belts? All those overrated patches? ... freaking whackers! :D

If it shows them in school heck it shouldnt be a long series, how long can you drag out the 24 weeks of Parathinktheyare 101 at UTSW for?

Oh well at least BioTel has an awesome medical director, you the man Paul Pepe.

Guess it could be ok. I remember the COPS type show, Paramedics on Discovery Health Channel. Was pretty boring because everyone was being professional and focusing on the patient, rather than the camera. Hope this one works out better.

I enjoyed Paramedics.

I only saw the old paramedic show a few times but I enjoyed it. I would love some more info on this show. I searched the web for a while but I couldn't find anything. Not that I will be able to watch it anyway. I only get 10 channels on AFN here in Korea and discover ain't one if them.

Is it just me or was "fast life support in the field when seconds count" poorly timed with the guy walking with 3 bags looking like he was pissed dinner was interrupted.

For that matter, With an engine and a squad why was one guy carrying all the stuff?

Sorry, that is why I don't watch medical shows. I always ruin them for everyone else.

I think if they do it right it could be a show worth watching.

I'm still looking for a way to show you lot 'Medical Emergency'.

In the great Trauma debate, most people argued that the job is largely to boring to make an interesting show about parmedic practice.

Medical Emergency is a prime time half hour show following patients from EMS contact through the emergency department and its often quite good.

It doesn't of course show everyone swearing at the pager when they get toned 10 minutes before the end of their shift, and the narrator makes the odd stupid comment like, "paramedics must shock John's heart to back to life" but its about as realistic as COPS and similarly popular.

reminds me of a show we had for a while called "Boston Med." It was following residents around the hospital and what not. Pretty cool but it didnt last.

Here's a clip from one of the episodes. I believe it was posted, taking the piss out of Kev Nugent, but you get the idea.

Not quite what I was looking for, given that its one of the more 'exciting jobs'. They do show everyday jobs as well, but you get the idea.

I don't think that Boston Med was intended on being anything more than an 8 part series.

It was a miniseries..a sequel to the show "Hopkins" which was an 8 part series at John's Hopkins

yeah it was just a documentary, there is a whole lot of fans for the show though. I think they will bring it back.

Both "Hopkins Med" and "Boston Med" are the same producers/staff-- from ABC. Although I hear rumors they are continuing in Boston, the intention is for them to continue elsewhere as well.

Cool story bro, does "Andy" moonlight as Kev Nugent at all? :D

I think they should come to Dallas and film at Parkland.

I saw a Lake Dallas ambulance also. Maybe it's based in that area.

Not feeling it, but then again I'm not really into the FIRE and EMS real life shows. When I'm not working the last thing I want to do is watch shows about work. However, I do occasionally watch Trauma: Life in the ER

Flower Mound, Texas. LOL.
