    Working rural EMS now: Gloves and stethoscope in a pocket unless the scope is on the dash. A few pens, click sharpie. Personal cell phone. Whacker belt (work 48s, don't want to gather stuff up every call): flashlight, radio, shears.

    Yes and no. We have 18 full time staff - of that we have 2 EMTs with IV cert; 1 AEMT and an Intermediate EMT. There's a bias towards hiring paramedics but we are trying to build a part time pool so you may have luck there.

    I worked down in Pueblo as an EMT IV. I did IV starts and lab draws, blood cultures, numbed and prepped for the doc to do sutures/staples, orthoglass splinting and triage in the waiting room.
