This is a gut call, I would have let them fire me, then filed a complaint. There is no real valid reason why. At the same time leaving on your own terms you could better explain the cause. Either way it is a crap call by your employer and border line illegal.

Best adivce right there OR, had a thing I was looking into similar to that for medic though. They would pay for it all, you just had to sign a 5yr contract to work for them, and if you failed or anything at anytime..you paid it back plus some interest and what not..so I backed out of that...

I preffer to write out everything, I will use MVA or T/C and PT but as for everything I did to the PT or at the location, I write out fully.

I agree partly with this, I would use the KED as stated, and use a make shift lowerling systen maybe the stokes or something to lower to ground units. Side note..why arnt all the FFs in turnout gear and ANSI approved reflective vest (as required by the fedral government).

Agreed. Smart Firefighters (I know I set up for any and all jokes). Will commute some ways to have cheaper cost of living, and still make a decent amount. My old chief drives 4 1/2 hours, and only spends about 7-8k a year in fuel. Just depends on how you want to go about it. To each his own.
