    Saved on TNT

Go Maria, Go Maria.... I concur 110%. As I stated earlier, first we cuss and gripe because we don't get any attention, and then we complain when we DO get attention... Make up your mind!

    Combi-Tube vs ET tube?

I don't think it's called "intubation" when you place a Combi-Tube.. but, honestly I don't know.... I don't want my students thinking that they are "intubating" when they insert this or any other BLS device.

Ummmm Guess what.. you and I both know "medics" (B's, I's and P's) who have done this.. and if you say you don't know any then I'd have to say.... "not that you know of".... I know PLENTY who have come in maybe not drunk, but DEFINITELY hung over, and their partners have started lines on them...

    New CPR Guidelines...do they work?

Hmmmm.. I'll have to e-mail the infamous Bob Page on this one and see if he's heard the same kinds of stories. I'm not a fan of the new changes, but I agree... if it saves even one life, I'll gladly admit defeat..... Actually... on one of these EMS Forums (I think maybe the City) someone...

I caught the encore presentation last night... well part of it anyway... the inaccuracies don't bother me much, after all this IS TV.... what made me crazy was the way that it was shot.... I got about half of the way through it and then had to turn it off. I think it's interesting that we've...

    Still here, kinda.

If your National Registry runs out but your State License / Certification doesn't then you "should" still be fine with the state.... Call your State EMS Office to be sure.

Another for the "shocks classmate" awards...

Wow..that's impressive, since they look and feel completely different (the True epi injector is heavier and yellow.... the trainer, VERY light in weight and gray)... it never ceases to amaze me what trouble "Medics" playing around can get into.

    Dislocated Shoulder

As a person who has dislocated a shoulder... I can tell you .. it IS painful, but a ride to the hospital isn't that bad.... do your best to alleviate their pain as much as possible by splinting, and allowing them to sit in the most comfortable position, Oxygen if indicated...

    Spider straps or Quick Clips?

Jon, I challenge you to a Spinal Motion Restriction Strap Off... Ok, that sounded almost obscene.. but I'd put my Straight Strapping technique up against ANYONE's Spider strapping.... 98% of the time (made up statistic) when Spider Straps are applied, they are not applied correctly, or even...

Got me a problem...Anybody from LA County to help???

I agree that you should work on getting the ticket cleared up, but in the meantime, working as an ER Tech might get you the funds to do so.
