Unfortunately, my move back to Los Angeles is mostly family related, so I didn't have the opportunity to fish for a job beforehand. I figured with my bachelor's degree in emergency medicine, and my experience in busy 911 districts, it wouldn't be too hard to find a job. I guess I was wrong!

Forgive if I'm wrong, didn't you just get your EMT-B a couple months ago? And didn't you just start this EMT job a week or two ago? Medic schools in my area require a minimum of 6 months of 911 experience for your application to be considered. I guess it's different in Missouri. Good luck though.

I have been told that the "quick-dissolve" aspirin soaks into the blood stream within 3-5 minutes and becomes effective immediately after. I've also been told that normal "swallow the pill" aspirin takes 30-60 minutes to become effective in the blood stream.

Are you taking it tomorrow? If so, I may just see you there. From what I hear it's pretty good. I've taken tons of these classes at UCLA, including Paramedic Prep and the facility/instructors have been fantastic.
