Today I was standing around at the office and answered two calls in the Alarm Centre (Dispatch). It was enough to make me decide to never answer that phone again.
Call number one:
Me: "(insert company name) How may I be of assistance?"

Being that I used to work a really busy service and moved over to the Oil Rigs and eventually ended up here in Nambia as a flight medic (fixed wing) I had the same concern. The service I am working for services certain "clients" and therefore does not involve lots of "primary response" calls...
In South Africa and EMT-B can loose his / her license if they suggest / advise / direct a patient to take any type medication simply because they are not allowed to administer medication.
Knowing a few South African Paramedics and National Diploma Paramedic (4 year Univ Diploma) that's gone across I can tell you this much.

I am hoping someone will be able to help me out here. After countless e-mails and phone calls, I seem to have run up against another brick wall. We are trying to get our training facility AHA approved here in Namibia but alas, I can not get any sort of reply from AHA themselves...
