I just got thru the most nerve racking experience in my life. I passed my NR EMT-B practical. I did a medical assessment on an OD of Tylox, and I had to put somebody on the long spine board for my random basics. Now its off to the NR written.:D
On one of my ride alongs that i had, we had a call for a tooth ache, it wasn't early in the morning but it was late on a Saturday night and college football was on.
Okay so my sister is a medic for a county service where i live and she will tell me stories of partners she has had from the night before. She would say that she would rather have a really good EMT-b rather than a lazy EMT-I. So I am putting it out to the forum and see what you all think?
In SC, the basics are allowed to drop a King, in my area they don't even carry the combi on the truck anymore. but once ALS gets on scene they are going to pull it and intubate anyway
I had my last day on Dec 7th and I feel like that as well, we don't take the NR practical till the 25th of Jan. I mean i am ready for it but i still don't feel like an EMT.
