would like info on emt-I

anyone have any info for colorado. I want to work in an emergency room. Have alot of past experience as and emt-b working on an als rig. Wha do you have to know, where do you take the classes and is it worth it?

CO uses EMT-I/99... and last I checked they were not sure what they were going to do when NREMT phases out that level of training. If you want to work in an ED in Denver you really need to be a medic. My I/85 and CO EMT-B IV didn't buy me anything, even with previous hospital/ED and EMS experience. Just skip EMT-I and get your medic.

I second JT. Colorado has some weird EMS practices IMO. They run EMT-IV/P trucks in the systems I did my rides in for my Basic. When I was looking for jobs as an IV I came up completely empty and ended up back in Nevada.
