where do you get your gear?

I was wondering where every one gets there equipment? Things like stethoscopes, shears pen lights ect. Is it supplied for you, sticky bucks or do you buy it yourself? If you buy it yourself where do you go?

They're different divisions of the same company. firehall.com deals with mainly FD related gear they do have some EMS products. wpc.ca also has fire and EMS as well as products for LEOs. I've gotten great service from them.

I believe my steth came from Amazon, my radio strap and flashlight from TheFireStore. My dept gave me a fanny pack, and everything in there other than the steth is their equipment.

Well I get the basic stuff from work. Anything on top of that I have only used the fire store so far.

Gear that I need I got from work. Personal stuff, I got it from stores, mail-order catalogs, and some internet sites. Since I live in Sacramento County, Life-Assist is close by so I can get stuff from them, at their catalog prices and save the shipping because I can just drive over to pick it up.

Sometimes I used promotional stuff... but that's pretty rare that I found something that I need is actually given out as a promo item.
