Whats your most "rewarding" experience in EMS?

Successfully using Adenosine gets me every time :)

That one actually gave me goose bumps.
 
We thought we had maybe four crushed people under an overturned boat on a levee ( see my boat thread from 2011 or so), and told my partner to help lift the boat while I went inside. This was less than a week after the kid with the .357 head shot, and I thought I saw brains under the boat....it was a Harry Husker (Univ Neb. mascot) styro cooler the boat's gasoline had started to dissolve. I felt good about myself after that one.

at the end of 12 hour shift didn't get a lot of calls but just helping people makes me feel like I'm a better person
 
Most rewarding? Easy, payday.
 
ill never become depressed when doing what i do best. i had a awesome call at our ems command post last night at festival. it made me want to work more. the pt was transported and is ok
 
what im saying is its something i love to do more than anything and love to work with acadian ambulance
 
Can we just let the new sparky people be sparky for a few more minutes?

Try to refrain yourselves from sharpening your claws here and going full on "eat your young" mode. I'm sensing a feeding frenzy in the making.

I've learned I have to be quick. You have fast fingers.


Maybe you got some sort of satisfaction just from typing it out? Some people swear that's a form of release in itself. I find it's not nearly as satisfying as actually posting...
 
It's all fun and games until you hit your first breaking point on the job and then have to decide if you continue or not.
 
That moment you realize that you are part of a logistics service which has a medical component.
