Its amazing how a member of this forum can post a question and so many people can read the post but no one can take the time to answer the frekin question

Maybe they didn't respond because you didn't provide enough information (such as location) that would allow them to give you accurate information. The EMT-Specialist certification is NOT a national certification, so we need to know where you are before we can even begin to answer your question.

I guess its different here in michigan but EMT specialist is the same as I85

Play nice.

when i was taking medic classes i had the option of testing for specialist. really easy stuff... like a medic who doesn't actually need to know the hard stuff. however, concord ambulance is the only company i know of that uses specialists.

thanks for the reply... I take it your from down river.. I have a few friends working over at concord... did you take your medic at LSTI by chance ?

out it the burbs actually, took my classes at baker, too damn expensive though. i plan on trying again at LSTI.

I have no idea what an EMT specialist is. NY does not use National Registry so EMT I-85 means little.

The same goes for Florida.

Unfortunately each state can have different levels with different titles other the NR and the testing is not consistent. Thus, the title EMT Specialist can be used in 6 different states and mean something different in each one.
