What took you longest to learn?

Our PCR software explains the different levels, so I just have to remember what they looked like during the call and then the GCS isn't a problem.

Yeah the paper reports or ePCR software both have descriptions, but when you're jotting down notes on a stat pad you don't have those, so I didn't want to depend on it.

Still have a hard time really recognizing the difference between an M2 and M3, but at that point I'm not sure 1 point matters a ton. WTF is decerebrate vs decorticate?

Decorticate is muscle contraction due to stimulus, decerebrate is muscle extension to stimulus. Easy way to remember? Decorticate is towards the "core".

Do you have the resus tape for peds arrest?

Yep. But I'm in the new hire/out of state medic process at my new job and I'm constantly getting quizzed. Once I'm cleared here, I'll be like everybody else and use the tape or iPhone app or the protocol book. Til then, I have to memorize everything.

Care to elaborate? I can see it, but I haven't heard anything.

It's been about a year ago I heard it, so let me see what I can dig up. I remember it was related to childhood obesity changing the figures the tapes were based on.
