So I had an interview today with Bayshore Ambulance in Foster City. They were only doing interviews today and I feel like mine went pretty well. Is it common to get interviews and not get the job from your guys experience or is getting the interview the hard part. I've applied to about 7 different places and thats the first interview I've gotten. Any input?

Well it all depends on how you did on the interview. Some people completely bomb it and there is no way they would get the job. If the interview went well people are usually offered a job. I have very little experience in applying for ems jobs. However I am certain its not to different from any other job interview.

I've found emailing the letter works just as well. Was there any indication of a second interview, or did they say a decision would be made after the first round of interviews?

Ok here's what you do after your job interview. You thank them for the opportunity to talk to you about possible employment. Shake hands with them. After you exit the interview room, use the bathroom if need be. The next step is crucial, you find your car keys, then you exit the building, then you find your car/truck/suv/school bus/monster truck/limo/ whatever. You then open the door, get in, buckle your protective restraint device, and start the engine. Put the vehicle in gear and then drive home. Drink a beer and wait for the call.

^ haha. But seriously if you did well they will call you. If they had mulitiple applicants, maybe someone did better than you. Just keep putting in applications.
