What is your national drug guide you've use in school?

It seems to me that every school uses a different "national" drug guide, with different drug dosages (with them more or less being the same) and it makes me wonder that shouldn't we all have the same knowledge and information regarding our paramedic education on a national level? In my school, we used a guide that one of our instructors put together, and I'm wondering what guide did you guys used for school? Was it a book that you had to buy?

How about national protocols? What sources did you guys used?

Strive to learn medicine and common doses for common conditions. Protocols, ect, really aren't the important thing to learn.

There are no national protocols.

Any standard paramedic text will have the common paramedic drugs and standard dosages.

The ALS Field Guide app is a good pocket reference. Many P-schools make you buy the hard copy but the app is cheap, updates periodically and is generally kept with you. "Emergency Meds" are just one piece; I have found the home meds section very useful as well. http://itunes.apple.com/us/app/id373869712
