That's a really nice station.

A bit over kill for an agency that covers 11 square miles. But very nice.

My first thought was, has to be on long island... and low and behold, I was correct.

Truth be told, while the price is high (as is everything on long island, including housing and property) , and it's a large building for a (relatively) low call volume, they have 4 ambulances (the picture actually shows 5, and they also have several first responder vehicles), and recognized that they had outgrown their former station, and planned for future expansion. How many EMS stations don't have lockable offices? or separate sleeping quarters for men and women? or training rooms? or file storage areas? or exhaust systems in the bays?

They planned for everything they would need in the future, and their local citizens supported them in their efforts. And it looks really nice.
