warm IV

There were several studies on this, and each year they seen to revisit it.... but the last one I remember them saying the target temp for the infused fluid should be 105-108F. We did a small in house study which stated whether it was worth warming the bag up vs the IV line. We have better chances of warm success looping the distal IV tube prior to entering the pt with a hot pack if for some reason we need to warm it ( which is rare ). The dash vents in our rigs get waaaay to hot for our IV bags.
Honestly, we don't allow our IV fluid bags to get cold enough other than a controlled stored room temp... so generally its not a big deal whether its warm or not for us. The POLAR IV fluids are separate for ROSC.
