I go to school out of state and am only home during the summer. Are volunteer agencies usually ok with taking students for just the summer or are most looking for commitment?
That's going to be agency specific. If you've got all your certs and they need people possibly. Otherwise I doubt they'd want to spend the money training you if you needed fire certs and didn't have them.
