hi i have a question, in the orange book it states that a normal rage pulse rate for infants up to 3 months is 85-205, for toddlers is 100-190 and for children is 60-140. However all other study guides states that neonates is 120-160, infants is 100-120 and children is 80-100.

No matter what you read it’s going to be different. Best advice is just take the average and go with that.

The answers won’t be that close. Be something obvious. Most likely be a question regarding what rate to start CPR

NREMT answers are pretty straightforward but it’s how the questions are asked that can throw you off. Make sure you read the questions as they are written and not how you assume it is being asked. That’s how you most easily answer questions incorrectly. If the question involves peds and vitals are given and they’re pertinent, it’ll be obvious how.

Just don’t overthink the questions. If an answer has you thinking “that’s true in this situation...” or “yeah, but...” then you’ve chosen wrong. The answer will only pertain to that question unless a test section says something like “use this passage to answer the next 5 questions” and you likely won’t get those.

The simplest non “ya-but” answer for the question is likely the right answer.
