Seriously guys...

I am thinking of a short vacation for my son and I in January or Feburary. Like only 4 or 5 days. AirTran has some really great deals.

I was thinking I might take him to Hershey, Philidelphia, or San Francisco. What do you guys think? Any ideas for a fun, short vacation spot. My boy is 8.

If it's going to be soon, go somewhere warm. No need to come back from a vacation with a cold. Just be sure to get out of Florida.

Yeah, get out of Florida - I did... now I am stuck in SNOW... HAHAHA... j/k...
Go to Arizona to the Grand Canyon - or to Yellowstone or something... find somewhere to enjoy the outdoors, away from civilization, get a deep breath of fresh air - while you can!

May I suggest Hershey if nothing else for the chocolate factory tours!

Hi gal! San Francisco is a pretty fun place to go, alot to see and do. My son was 9 years old and we had a blast!! hope school is going well for you! :)

Long time no see Princess! Having been to both, I'd suggest San Francisco. It's a fun place with lots to do. The only problem is how expensive everything is.

Stay out of the mid-West and the Northeast if you don't want intensely cold weather and snow.

What about the coast of South Carolina or Georgia? Hilton Head, Charleston, or Savannah.

it will be cold in PA - but Hershey and Philly are both cool places to go... and you can learn cool things in Philly.

I'd have to add my vote to San Franscisco.... Outstading destination... lots to do.. and your son will be able to visit & witness almost every culture within one city.

If you come out to San Francisco, let me know. I'm just south of there. I'd be happy to show you some fun places.

If you go to San Francisco.. Don't miss out on the Exploratorium... it's a great time!

I was there not too long myself...that place has more interesting stuff in one building than I've ever seen. :P San Francisco definitely has my vote too for vacation spots.
