For all you COPS fans out there, They are airing a special episode, NOPD:"After Katrina" on court TV Tuesday night, at 10 pm on Court TV. The previews look really intense.

Who wants to record it and send me a copy?

me too??

I might try to watch it at the squad... I've got a scout meeting, then was going to drop by the squad.

Jon

I'll tape it for you if you really want a copy.

Yes I do.

Me too....

I'd be willing to send a few bucks to cover the tape and mailing.

Thanks

Jon

The cost is no big deal, I have tapes here and mailing it won't be much so don't worry about that. The only issue is I can only make one tape, so...I'll mail it to Chimpie, then he can send it to Jon?

"Someone" should connect the cable into their computer video card, record it, transfer it to a common file type and share it online...anyone here familiar with Bittorrent?

I would do that but....Jay bought a new computer today, I'm lucky I can get on long enough to check posts, I'm going to be banned from our office in about 5 minutes. <_<

If someone else posts it, my brother (the tech hacker wannabe geek) can download it with bittorent...

Ahh... BitTorrent... the illegal file sharing machine. :D

Isnt it amazing that at certain times, the majority of bandwidth on the internet is used by Bittorrent!!!

If only companies realized that, rather than wasting billions to "catch" and "scare" those who do it, if they just lowered prices a bit, they would get a lot more in sales...Its no mystery that 99cent songs are such a huge business...people dont have any problem paying for it, it it isnt such a ridiculous price.

You can make prices rediculously low and people still won't pay for it. I know several people who have over 50 gigs of music on their hard drives. I know a couple who have over 200 gigs.

:o

I'm really thinking that a computer and Mp3 player will be on my Haunukah list this year. I have no problem paying a buck a song.

My brother (16y/o) was discussing Half Life with me the other day, and I quote "Yeah, and I even have a license for it."

Right.

Jon

Sorry guys, I screwed up... I could have sworn I had blank tapes :( I feel awful now.

It actually was just like any other COPS show. The only thing that really hit is when the 2 deputies the cameras were following saw thier own houses for the first time. Other wise it was a normal cops show sans power. And there were a ton of people partying on Bourbon St.

Again, I'm REALLY sorry for offering without checking for the damn tapes first.

No biggie. You're just no longer invited to the "gathering". :P

I've got the biggest OnDemand theatre set up at the squad... I'll try to catch it next time.

Jon

Tivo is a wonderful thing! :P
