For those of you in western Washington who may have worked for TriMed, I just heard that Jay Davidson passed away after an illness.

Jay certainly was rough around the edges, but truly was a hell of a guy and gave a lot of new EMTs that first job in EMS. He scared (and scarred) a lot of newbies, however he was never anything but kind to me.

Rest easy Mobile One.

Holy crap... Wow. As much as I hated the guy I was happy to work for them. Great experience. My first ems job.

Yeah. I know there's a few TriMedders around here who would want to know.

Kris the dispatcher told me.

I was talking to some people and a lot of people are afraid of what is going to happen to trimed. Our dispatch center has been getting phone calls all week from people trying to jump ship thinking it is probably going to sink.

And our management is already in talks with some fire departments down there about taking over coverage.

That TriMed rumor mill. :) I guess everyone will just wait and see...

Yup. That is all we can do. I'm not going to worry about it. I have medic school to deal with

Be a shame to see all those great Crestline trucks go away. Most comfortable ambulance I ever worked in.

They were nice. Little bouncy in the back but I'm OK with that. Good power. Overall my favorite ambulance. Braun is nice too.
