Transfer to Texas, How long does it take?

I have filled out the Reciprocity Certification Application to get my Texas cert (I currently have Arkansas cert). I'm going Tuesday to do the fingerprint background check. How long does it usually take to get my TX cert? Has anyone else had to go through this process? I have applications in at several EMS companies but most of them will not even interview me until this is complete.
 
Usually 4 weeks or so.

4 weeks is a safe bet. Maybe a little less if you have NREMT, although I think NREMT is required.

That'll make it faster. You don't have to have your NREMT if you're getting reciprocity from another state but it adds a step and cost. Without it you have to take the NREMT written exam for your cert level.
