Train versus car
A CSX locomotive slammed in to a woman`s car in on Old State Road in Vanderburgh County Monday morning.
Witnesses say 19-year-old Lauren Omohundro apparently didn`t see or hear the 34-car train barreling down on the crossing.
The train smashed into her car and flipped it into a ditch.
Scott Township EMT, Jennifer Day was on her way home from the grocery store when she saw the crash happen.
She ran over to the scene to help out.
Omohundro was taken to Deaconess Hospital in fair condition.
Investigators say the warning signals were working at the time of the crash.
