Things they don't prepare you for in EMT School

That thing'd be really hard to see from the helicopter lol

oh man, too bad me and my 30-06 are all the way over here in CA. btw anyone know where/when to get a permit for one of those?

Ok, I'm going to show my non-southern roots by saying WT-GD-F is that thing!?!?!?!.

I've never run into anything from Jurassic Park while at work, but my ambulance has been sprayed by a skunk, and I've also seen sick bird that had 3 feathers sticking out at random places....it looked like a rat with a beak.

Don't feel bad, I'm from TN and I had no idea when I first saw it :P I don't care if it's native or not, I want to go find it now!

I have the number for our local marine stranding rescue center on my phone. we get enough seals, dolphins and whale stranding that i call 10-12 times a year. we usually go because someone tries to help whatever animal it is and gets bit...How do you treat a Harbor Seal bite? its a nasty wound

Years ago we covered a really rural area, going red to an MVC through a pretty woodsy area when I just hear 'n feel this big THUMP!

We ignore it when we cleaned our drawers and realized it wasn't a human or cow that we hit, and continued on to the scene. We got there, cleared the patients and were BS'ing with the Engine crew on scene when one of them started sniffing and asking us what was burning with such a horrendous odor...we spent a couple minutes re-checking the vehicle when I noticed our rig was smoking a bit.

Crawled under the ambulance and saw what had to be a 20lb possum stuck roasting between our exhaust and chassis :P

I think that anything less than a .308 is unlikely to remedy this situation. I do have to wonder if Monitor tastes like chicken and how much you think it would dress out to?

Try that with a skunk. We couldn't get the smell off the truck for almost a month.

I had an opportunity to speak with our local Animal Care Field Supervisor, and given this situation, she said they would respond and take the animal themselves.

Apparently they've taken stray ostriches and other crazy animals in the past.

Might hafta "accidentally" hit that ostrich...Pretty good eatin!

So I've heard, they're mean ****ers though... I had a friend in grade school who lived on an ostrich ranch and they were always trying to start fights.
