I am taking my NREMT-B its been about a month and a half since I graduated my summer classes for EMT. I would of taken it earlier but there was a problem with my application process (Something about a mistake they made when they reviewed the class) and I had to wait an extra two weeks.

I have been using medictests.com to study for the past week or so, studying extra hard on top of the base knowledge I got from the class.

A guy in my class took his last week and he said he failed all sections but he said it was easy...I dunno. I am just super nervous. Medictests.com say I am passing Cardiology, Respiratory and Medic Operations. But I am still failing OB/GYN, Trauma and Medical. However last night I passed the medical part twice, so I am improving.

I am super nervous guys, I am so worried I don't know enough. I feel like I will fail. I know I shouldnt have that attitude, but I can't really help it, with all the hype I hear from my teachers the test is going to be super hard.

I think my biggest problem is the latin roots of a lot of the words. It throws me off my game some.

Any words of wisdom?

Don't let the test psych you out. Remember it is designed to test minimum competency.
A few pointers.
Don't memorize the answers to the practice tests. Make sure you understand why you got a question wrong.
A lot of questions are best answer instead of right answer ( like many programs use)
Know the skills sheets. There will be what comes first/next Etc type questions.
Anything and everything is fair game for the test.

So, like...The skill sheets from my assessment stuff?

I dont think I even have those anymore, Im pretty sure I used most of them for the test. IE gave them to the proctors for grading purposes.

You can find the skills sheets on the nremt website. There was also a link to them posted in another thread here ... Not to long ago
