Hello! I've been reading this forum for a while now, but this is my first post. I started medic class in July of last year, finished the didactic portion of my class this past May. I excelled at all most all of our written exams, we used platinum education tests. I finished my ride time/internship last week. I passed the NREMT psychomotor skills test in May. This coming Tuesday I am scheduled to take the "written" exam.

I probably haven't studied as near as much as I should have been doing. But I have been doing the test prep stuff for the last week or so. I have primarily been using medictests.com, but purchased jbtestprep paramedic test prep several months ago. I had forgotten about the jblearning until another medic student mentioned a few days ago. I have been scoring very good to excellent on medictests.com individual category tests as well as their national registry simulator. But I took the JB final exam, and was about at question 50 when I had to go on a run and haven't went back to finish it yet. But those first 50 questions were much more difficult than what I had seen on medictests.com.

So which test prep is more representative of the NREMT test?

Neither?

JB and medic tests are both PREP devices to help you prepare for a CBT and hone your critical thinking skills. You won't see any of the questions repeated on the NREMT CBT, but if you can understand the causation and rationale behind the treatments and scenarios described in the test prep, you should be able to pass the NREMT baseline competency exam.
