I used to surf when I grew up on the Jersey Shore. I now live in SF and it's been a long while. Out of curiosity, did you buy a long board or a short board.

Done a lot of surfing on vacations but I wouldn't call myself a surfer by any means. Do a lot of wakesurfing in the summer. I like it better than regular surfing...less paddling, less getting worked when you get stuck inside and the wave never ends!

I went out today. We had 2-3 foot waves and I have to admit that I got whooped but I have learned a lot about the ocean. Looking forward to going out again

I used to surf much more when I was unemployed, but haven't had the time in a few years. it is a lot of fun though and I miss it very much. ps I learned on a foam top (soft top) too, don't let others talk trash.
