I currently work in California as an emt-b for allied barton. allied barton hired me with the specific duty of preforming emt work for companies that request it. I currently work at a national laboratory for there security and emergency management program. the site is controlled by the department of energy, and ran by Stanford, I was told that we fall under san mateo county protocols. Im not sure if there are other sites like this but we provide all emergency care, however we do not transport and have no ambulances. does anyone know what this falls under and who is responsible for the development, training and standards that emts fall under in this situation. We have no specific medical control and we are a government site , so im not sure what protocols to follow. how do contracted emts suppose to operate?

Sounds like a typical site safety officer position and very common from all the job postings I have seen over the years. This is also very common for large construction sites and easy money for EMT basics
