It is with our great sadness and heavy hearts that one of our team members, Doug Odgers, 23,has succumbed to his injuries today, May 8, 2011, while on duty. Doug joined Bowers Ambulance in February 2011 as a Paramedic. With the short time Doug was with us, he was a valuable employee and he will be missed. The ambulance was involved in a single vehicle accident after completing a routine transport. The second crew member was treated and released from the hospital earlier today.

We are sending our support and prayers to both families during this difficult time. As appropriate, updates will be posted as information becomes available.

he also had many friends at CARE ambulance, where he worked for the years before medic school. many people are talking of how kind and funny a person he was to work with. I always hate news like this, which happens all to often in our area. my deepest condolences are with his family and coworkers.
