Do you guys use Cage armour / stand off or anything like that?

Not here..."unmilitary appearance" per Brigade CSM. Retard.

I hope you're not overseas then!

We had a Ridgeback / MRAP that was adapted to take stretchers, but most of our casualties went over a shoulder or in a quadbike trailer to an HLS.

Fort Bliss. 1/1AD is going to get mauled downrange. Leadership is incompetent and deploying soldiers are lacksidasical, very few NCOs or senior specialists left (and people like me are so tasked out with vital missions and our imminent ETSs that we can't train the new soldiers properly.

Sounds familiar... We had the same thing back home. I bet morale at your unit is superb! Good luck mate, I don't envy you.

What kind of equipment do you carry, btw? Monitor/Defib and that sort of stuff like a civy ambulance, or mostly trauma equipment?

Nearly nothing- there's like five rolls of Kerlex and an AED in there as of today, and that AED doesn't have pads. Potentially an IV kit or two, and a few dozen tourniquets. The unit refuses to authorize us to stock the trucks, so we run from our aid bags.

I'm screwed if New Mexico EMS or TX DSHS catches me anywhere near that thing.

Well, hope "Dateline" or "CBS News" pick up your story soon.

People need to understand you can't run the military like a cheap windup car and expect it to perform like a Lamborghini for long.

It's a very capable vehicle, but it's the crew that matters.

Sounds like my brother's transportation unit. It's a wonder they made it back without any injuries..

Word is as soon they got off the planes on US ground their commander was relieved of his command. All is better now.

Yep. They catastrophically failed personnel management here- 25% of the battalion Ets s before deployment.

Wow. That's frightening. Why in the heck hasn't the battalion surgeon made a stink about it?

He has, but O2s don't have much traction.

"Bonsai" (stunted) officer corps is a symptom of one falling through space due to corruption and kingdom building in the middle ranks or from outside.

Anyway, just the vehicle for DEEtroit. or L.A. SoCentral. Does it float?

That model doesn't no, the only LAV I know that floats that general dynamics makes is the LAV25 or Coyote variant in Canada.

It doesn't float, but its technically a lav3 variant.
