Is it better to go with the national or state? I just finished and Im taking state this week, but should I go with both or just state?
The state is virginia,
And I know yall will say I should do a search, but I didn't.

You should probably take the time do a search.

It all depends really. Are you planning on moving out of VA anytime? If not your probably good to go with state license, if you are considering moving out sometime in the future go with both.

You can not work without a state license, however a lot of states require NREMT certification in order for state licensure. As such, NREMT certification makes it easier to move between states. My suggestion would be to get both your state license as well as NREMT certification.

This. The ability to move around helps a lot. Also, if your company will send people to help out in a disaster area, some places require you to have that states license. NREMT makes that easier, as JP said. (example being gulf oil spill. My company sent people down to work for the cleanup crews. Louisiana required we have a Louisiana license.)
