what states require that your Ambulance says "Ambulance" in reverse on the Hood??

OR do all states require it?

Mirrored image wording was a requirement of the KKK specifications for those receiving Federal grant monies for EMS. Alike the Omaha orange stripe and blue letter wording and so forth.

Many states have finally abolished such requirements as those monies are no longer available and as they finally figured out, vehicles with l/s usually mean an emergency vehicle. The mirrored image was somewhat nice, so there was no excuse of saying.. "I didn't know what it was"....

My usual remark for the idiots who always comments about is... "OMG.. I thought they had it on backwards!".... Thanks! or .. "Boy, the boss is going be pissed about this"!....

We got a new paint job recently and the city name was spelled wrong. A resident pointed it out to us at a McD's We told her thanks and that we'd already seen it and we were going to get it fixed on monday. She walks around the truck and comes back to us and says: "You should have them fix the "Ambulance" on the front too--it's on there backwards."
