Some statistics

I'm a volunteer in two squads. Right now, I don't even fit in those statistics.

So, where we all headed to based on these?

I'm not sure what you are asking.

I will point out that BLS is a rather poor place to look for a realistic view of your earning and employment potential. EMTs and Paramedics are lumped together despite that there is usually a decent disparity in pay between the two. In general I earn 50% more than my EMT coworkers. So the pay that is being displayed could be not even close to the earnings of a new basic or medic.

Furthermore, states that are havens of Fire based EMS will typically move pay higher and employment opportunities lower. Like California it looks like pay is pretty good there, when really a starting basic might make half of that average, and struggle to find a job (let alone one that pays anything near that average).

I would just take the BLS with a grain of salt.
