So, this may be a bit premature, and is TOTALLY not EMS related, but what does everyone think about what's been going on recently with the JonBenet case? I've got connections with the Ramsey family, and I know they are all very relieved that it might finally be over.

Thoughts?

I dunno.... there's not been a lot of news other than "he confessed"... there are a lot of unanswered questions.

If he did do it - why'd it take so long to find him?

Finally - I hope it is him, so this can all be over for everyone's sake.

I hope for the family's sake that it is over...

But I have some reservations about what's been broadcast so far. Some of the details aren't matching up. In addition, I've got to wonder about this:

Subject arrested in Thailand for possible pornagraphy based offenses.
Subject is an American citizen
Subject has connection to victim's family
Subject realizes he doesn't want to spend time in a Thai jail/prison
Subject confesses to get extradited to the US
Subject goes to court in the US and claims his confession was coerced by Thai authorites
Subject gets court to toss confession.
Subject then fights extradition back to Thailand.

Note: These are my viewpoints only, and I'm speaking hypothetically

iirc, the mother recently died of ovarian cancer....

I hope it's over, and I hope that his punishment if warranted is not drug out on your and my dime.

There are conflicting stories for sure coming out of the news.

Some say he confessed to drugging the victim, yet the autopsy showed NO drugs in her system.

I wish the Dad could get closure for sure. I would like to see if they match any DNA.

I would also like to know if his confession contains any info NOT released to the public that matches the crime scene.

Either way it is still heart breaking to see the film footage of her again....... and she's not my child.

Her brother and aunts also deserve closure to. Brady is a good kid, and to have him fingered in the murder all those years ago was pretty upsetting. And I wish Patsy were still here to see this, but if questions are not adequately answered soon, she, in her weakened state, might have been crushed by it.
