Rip shears are they any good?

I been looking online at the RIP shear, has anyone used it and what are your thoughts?
The videos I watched were great on cutting clothes off but it seems it can be rough and pull your PT around. I wanted to get myself a gift cause yesterday I took my NREMT test and found out that I passed.

The guy that stole mine must have thought they were pretty cool. I was given one as a gift. Put it on my shears and it vanished on the first MVA.

Actually, I think it's pretty gimmicky. I'm not so high speed low drag that I can't use scissors like a normal medic. A pair of regular shears works well for me.

I've found a Leatherman Z-rex is a nice tool to have if you want a V-blade. It's basically a light-duty pry bar with a built in o2 wrench and glass breaker. Thin, light, and cheap if you use the pro site for your 50% EMS discount.

Check out the Leatherman Pro deal if you're actively working in EMS.
