Reciprocity NJ to VT

I'm currently a New Jersey state certified EMT, and looking into colleges in Vermont. I would like to continue being an EMT through college. Does anyone know the easiest way to become certified in Vermont? Has anyone done this, and could tell me what the process is like?

Thank you. due to my age I cannot become nationally registered until summer 2017, and I would like to start the process as early as possible, if there's another way.

Either way you have to be 18 to apply to be a Vermont EMT, its in black and white on their recoprocity requirments.
