Hey I was just curious if you should ever transfer care to a CNA? Is an EMT more trained than a CNA? Or will you always transfer care to a RN? Just curious?

As long a the Rn signs the paperwork you're all good.

When I worked in ABQ I was allowed to transfer care of an IFT patient to either an LPN, RN, or ER Paramedic. (BLS level transfer)

EDIT: When I work 911 here, we transfer to either RN or LPN (our ED is still half staffed by LPNs.)

So does each company and or county have certain protocals of who and who you cannot transfer care to?

We always transfer care to an RN, but I work 911. When I was doing IFT, we could transfer care to an LPN.

We must transfer care to an RN. I usually give report to the RN for minor calls and the Doc for anything serious. As soon as I give report, I get the RN's sig. Anything less is not acceptable where I work. I always have LPNs and Techs offering to sign. "Sorry, no."
