reading/eye protection glasses needed

Well I guess there all comes a time and mine is here. I have had contacts for years with good results but reading small print on maps and some print on the med boxes is getting tough and I really dont want misques.

So, Im wondering what some of the rest of you "old timers" are wearing. It would be nice to have a pair to throw on when I hop in the squad,read maps ect. and protect my eyes while I tube or who knows what fluids get sprayed around. I'm sure others have tackled this problem no sense in reinventing the wheel.

Just to clarify you're asking about prescription safety glasses?

generally you have to take reading glasses off when not doing close work so might not work for tubing and non close work but maybe they make bifocal safety glasses :)

When I wear glasses I use the cheap Walmart prescription ones. The safety glasses on our rigs will go over them....as will a combo mask. I am looking into the oakley safety prescription ones. If you are signed up for the oakley forces discount( they call it that in Canada not sure what they call it in the usa) the price is much lower.

To clarify (sorry) shielding from blood ect. I know nothing is perfect but a wrap around would be nice. No script just a bit of magnification to read better

All I can picture are those creepy glasses NBA players wear. Lol
 
I have prescription safety glasses. I honestly don't wear em much. Work paid for them, but I usually just grab a random pair when I'm doing something with a potential for splash or ick.

I do have prescription Oakleys from US standard issue. Great price and awesome glasses.

Website is amazing.. The only way I see it worth spending money on Oakleys is on that site.
