Ok,

so this needs to be answered asap if possible.

my fiancee experienced chest pain in the tub with me. typical position for a MI. I got her out of the tub, sat her down and got a bp of 128/74 p80. no fever. she took an aspirin. its been 20 minutes.. still has chest pain bp108/62 p66. her SOB has subsided... any sugestions???

stay and play?
Load and go?

re

i'm not going to ask for a whole HPI and the activity in the tub. but........ hit an ER

Call 911........

well her bp stablized at 120/70.. and no fever still.. but she still has chest pain.. dull. probably a 4 on the pain scale

Are you serious?

You need to stop treating you fiance and get him to the hospital. I cannot even believe you are asking for medical advice on the internet. You need to put the keyboard down and driver him to the hospital. Now.

Don't be a hero and try to figure it out on your own. If you are concerned (and there should be some in any chest pain cases) go to the ER now or call 911!!!

You have got to be kidding me. You do not have the education or equipment to make ANY sort of decision for your fiance. A BP is just a vital sign! It does not mean your fiance is not having a PE, MI, Dissection, etc! This thread is AGAINST forum policy!

lol.. i am 911... just not on duty... and shes a nurse. im just a tad concerned cause her bp decided to bump down. i'm monitoring her right now as i sit with my laptop.

STOP READING NOW! STOP TYPING NOW!! THIS ISN'T A CONSULT!!!

GO!!!! NOW!!!

Hope she is good, keep us updated after a Doctor/Cardiologist sees her... NOW GO!!!

Answer to your question? Don't seek medical advice on an online forum. For all you know someone could come along and claim to be a doctor and really be a 15 year old boy in Utah.

No your not 911. What would you supervisor say if I told him about this thread? I am up in buellton pretty often.. Let me say again, THIS IS AGAINST FORUM POLICY!

lets back up a sec... i think what she is/was having is merely angina. im checking her vitals, and looking for tell tale signs here. no need to get at my throat about what I am/am not doing. she has no family history of heart conditions and is very athletic

im licenced... not employed. must not have read my intro thread

good call.

alright y'all... im off to the er. see ya in a bit.

Doctor's, Nurses, Paramedics, EMT's make the worst patients. They never see anything as serious in them... Take the objective opinions you solicited and force her and yourself to seek the help of someone higher on the food chain (and not a body-less voice on the net).... NOW!!! STOP READIN/TYPING/MONIORING HER....

sorry to have posted this... just wanted feedback is all. its a little tough when your both in medicine and also in a relationship.

Well, I hope she's okay, and please post an update on how she does.

Honestly, though, why on earth were you wasting time posting here when you should have been calling 911 or taking her to the ER? You don't have the knowledge, qualifications, or equipment to make a diagnosis! Why do you think that your EMT-B class and a BP cuff qualifies you to distinguish between angina and an MI?

If this were a patient on an EMS run, you'd be talking to your medical control about what to do with the patient and doing what those with more knowledge and training tell you to do. Why does your fiancee deserve less consideration?

Well, the OP got his question answered and I don't see a need for this thread to continue along it's current tone so this one is done for.
