Okay well after googling and searching this site I have found very little to almost no information about patriots ambulance in MA. I have a test with them on Monday. If I pass I will be scheduled for an interview. I was told it would be general EMT knowledge questions. So that is not what I am worried about. I am just curious about the company and looking to get a bit of info from someone who has worked there. Or at least knows people that have worked there. I know their areas of service. I am wondering if they do any 911 work? I was recently certified as an EMT-B and have no experience so I don't expect any 911 work. I am just curious if in the future will it be a possibility? Also whats the management like? What are the schedules/shifts like? Whats the call rate like in their service areas? Starting hourly pay for an EMT-B with no experience? Any other general information you can share about them is welcome.

The only thing I know about them is they do 911 in Lawrence, they have a few other places listed on their website but I don't know how up to date it is. Lawrence is a BLS only contract so if you work in the area you will probably doing a lot of calls in Lawrence. The ALS for Lawrence is done but Saints hospital with intercept vehicles. That’s all I know about them.

Patriot is the 911 provider for Lawrence and a few other towns/ small cities. They run mostly B/B (they do have a couple P/P) trucks but ALS is run out of sprint cars from Lawrence General. If ALS is needed, 1 medic will ride in with you to the hospital while the other will follow.

They do 911 and transfers so your next call is based on where you are and whos next up. It could be a 911 call, it could be a transfer.

Thanks for the info you guys. Makes me feel a lot better showing up on monday. Wasn't to interested in doing 100% transfers for the rest of my career with them. Now if someone could tell me what the staff is like that would be great. :) Hopefully someone on this site has worked for them.

If you're a basic and looking for some 911 experience in MA where you get paid, Patriot is the place to be. There are precious few cities and towns left that have BLS 911 contracts, Lawrence is one of the few.

Sounds awesome, I really hope I am able to get the job now.
