Sir/Madam I am new in this industry as an EMT-B. I just want to have your informative idea about AED and patient monitor.

Thank You!!

Most monitors that are in use in EMS are a combo monitor/Defibrillator making an AED useless.

Are you asking about using one manufacturer's AED, then connecting those pads to a different manufacturer's monitor?

Yes Sir Dan. Actually our office purchase zoll AED plus and Phoebe pro Patient monitor and I am wondering if we use them simultaneously does it would affect each other function?

I am not sure if I understand you 100% are you saying if you put both AED's on the patient at the same time.

2 sets of pads 2 AEDs. on the same patient

Would it effect each other??? Maybe, electricity takes the shortest path to ground. could one delivering a shock short the second AED out. Possibly. Unless everything is simultaneously placed they are going to analyze at different times making one ineffective. Or making CPR disrupted more than it should

If you are referring to one is on scene with one AED and you place the pads on the patient. Then a second unit comes along and transports with another unit as long as the plugs are compatiable you can use the same AED pads.

However this pt. monitor does it not have Defibrillation as part of it? Just monitors heart rate rhythm?
