Passed NY State EMT Exams - Now what?

School told us our state score and emt#. Figure I can't probably work until I have the actual card. Problem is I'm still in post-op shoulder arthroscopy. What should I do if I can't lift yet? Figure I'd volunteer and do dispatch or something. Will that be educational/beneficial at all? Figure it'd look good on my resume if anything.

Relax until you're fully healed. Dispatch and field EMT work employ two very different skill sets. There's plenty of time to get out and work on a truck once your shoulder is back 100%.
