I just got into paramedic school and they require malpractice insurance. does anyone know where I can get that? What insurance company sells that?
thank you

Really?? Never heard of a paramedic being required to have malpractice insurance.

Paramedic school was a long time ago for me, but IIRC the program provided the insurance and we paid for it by way of a fee to the school.

I carried my own professional liability insurance for the last 5 or 6 years of my EMS career. I can't remember the name of the company, but I'll look through my files and see if I have something saved from them.

HPSO sell malpractice insurance.

https://hpso.com but on Safari the site doesn't come up. Rates vary based on certification level, state, and how often you work. For Virginia, EMT, full-time, was around $162/year.

HPSO is where I have mine. Less than $200 a year for million-dollar limited liability coverage. I've had it since I became a medic.

I believe you can get HPSO liability insurance through the NAEMT.
