Here's my situation;

I completed my EMT course on December 10th, 2010. I lagged on taking the test because of a number of reasons but I got my butt together and I passed my cognitive and skills test as of last week. I called National Registry and they said they were sending out my certificate and congratulations that I was certified. I had no idea about state certification and county certification. I was just reading online and they said in order to become state and county certified, i must present my course completion certificate that is valid up to two years (among other papers) and I was wondering if I could just use my National Registry certificate seeing as how my course certificate expires this coming monday. Does it matter if my course completion expires but I still have a valid NREMT certificate? Or do both need to be valid in order to become state and county certified? ANYBODY know anything about this?!?!? Thank you so much!

From what I have seen people post here you should be ok with your nr thought Your best bet is looking on the county licensing website or calling them.

Do no programs in ca explain this to students?

I was confused as if this was Orange County, FL or Orange County NC, or Orange County, CA....

Guess those in Cali think they are the only ones? :)

Orange county, California. Sorry.

I guess what I'm asking is, If im nationally certified, but my class certification expired, can I still become CA State and county certified?
