Opinions or thoughts please

Thanks a lot guys , I got to figure something out so I can do this in the long run .

Honestly, chill out. It's not your emergency.

This was the best advice I heard when I was a high strung newbie, I know its been said over and over but take it to heart. Big breaths in and out before even approaching your patient.

Nothing is more frustrating to a partner then having to try to reign in a high strung partner and deal with someone who has called for help.

You keep talking about this book.

You are going to force me to actually find the time to read it.

It's a great book, especially for new providers as we get to watch the main character go from the "Save all the people, do all the treatments" mindset (including a senior resident who still has that mindset) to "best treatment is as much nothing as possible." Also, a lot of the common helpful cliches that gets thrown out (take your pulse at a code, the patient is the one with the disease, etc) gets covered in the book.

I do not have an authorized biography :)

Of course my mantra is precision therapy, not as much of nothing as possible.
