Hi there
My name is SpainTES and I am a EMT-B, I'm based in south Spain (Málaga) and I have a question. I watched some YouTube videos where I saw that out of Spain they put the head immobilization device up side down (like in the picture).
Can someone tell why?

Best regards
PD: sorry if my English writing is bad

can you provide the link to the youtube video?

to be honest, it looks like a mistake, however the only reason to apply velcro side down is if the other piece is attached to the board. meaning, if the base piece wasn't attached to the board, the velcro serves no purpose.

but I would go with a mistake, i've never worked in a place that did that.

Agree with @DrParasite . I can't tell very well by the picture but it should always be kept in mind patient immobilization is a free form operation. Whatever works. Some equipment is out there that was apparently designed by chimpanzees during an evening swill.

Completely irrelevant, but I was in Malaga about ten days before you posted that. Cool dive trip out of Benalmadena.

Due I'm working a lot I didn't search the videos, hopefully at the end of this month I provide YouTube videos and pictures.
