OCEMS Cert and ADL for getting hired

Hello,

Newly minted EMT here applying to Care Ambulance in LA/OC. Would it make a difference to me obtaining employment at Care if I already have my OCEMS card and my ambulance drivers license? The website says that you need to have both of thoses within 60 days of being offered employment with them. My question is, will it give me a boost having those certificates going into the application process?

I'm pretty sure it will. I applied before when I didn't have any of those and got a email back saying I wasn't what they were looking for at the time. ( some automated response thing). Pretty sure it was cause I didn't attach any certificates and such.

You will re-do the DL-51 with CARE. For me, having prior experience was what got me hired the second time I applied. But I've also seen first timers get hired too.
